A composite panorama covering almost 180°, standing in the southwest corner of the back yard. At the far right, you see the house to the south and the fence in between. What will be our house is really brick -- the apparent pink is another artifact of the bad lighting, as is the extreme brightness of the sunlit area of ground. The house to the north is hidden by vegetation in the center. Toward the left is a line of vegetation which is the rear (west) boundary -- it's actually at a right angle to the fence at the right end of the panorama. The angles are squashed both by the composite technique and by the wide-angle lens I was using (28mm). The yard in back is visible at the extreme left.
The wide-angle lens also makes distances appear greater than they are. I was probably standing 100 feet from the house. (The lot is 100 by 200 feet.)
